Blood Bank to close temporarily

The National Blood Transfusion Service (Blood Bank) of the Ministry of Health and Wellness, is informing the public that its offices, located at 21 Slipe Pen Road in Kingston, will be temporarily closed to the public as of Monday, February 17.

The closure is to facilitate infrastructural upgrades to the building.

The Blood Bank is recommending that donors in Kingston go to the donor centre at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. The UHWI donor centre can be contacted at 876-927-1620.

The public will be informed as soon as the Blood Bank reopens.
